In a tragic incident, a teenage college student biker died in a road accident and his two pillion riders got seriously injured when the motorcycle they were ridding on skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on interstate Bhaderwah – Chamba road in district Doda last night.
The teenage bikers riding a motorcycle without registration number skidded off the road and fell into 100 feet deep gorge near Sartingal power project on Bhadarwah- Chamba interstate road 7 km from Bhadarwah town at 9.30 PM.
“All the three injured teenage students were brought to Sub District Hospital Bhadarwah by locals who rescued them from the deep gorge despite darkness, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead while two pillion riders are undergoing treatment,” said SDPO Bhadarwah Sardar Sajjad Ahmed Khan.
“These bikers, who are the students of PG College Bhadarwah are putting up in a rented accommodation in Mohallah Khakhal, were perhaps on a joy ride on Chamba road when they met with the fatal accident,” SDPO added.
Teenager biker who lost his life in the accident has been identified as Amresh Singh son of Shyam Lal resident of Champal Bhalessa, settled at Thathri.

The Injured have been identified as Ravi Kumar son of Jagdish Raj resident of Thathri and Anil Kumar son of Mukesh Kumar resident of Bhella. Later, both were shifted to Distt Hospital Doda for further treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
