11 IAS officers put on notice for failing to file APRs

Feb 17: The Jammu & Kashmir government has put on notice 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers for failing to furnish their Annual Property Returns (APRs).

In a notice issued by the General Administration Department, the officers have been asked to file their APRs within the next three days, failing which it will pressured that “ You have violated All India Service(AIS) Rules.” “I am directed to invite your attention to Rule 16(2) of AIS (Conduct) Rules, 1988, all the members of the service are required to submit their Immovable Property Returns (IPRs) latest by the end of January 2016. Since APRs have not been received from your end till date in this Department, so, you are therefore, requested to furnish the Immovable Property Returns for the year 2015 (in duplicate) to the General Administration (Vigilance) by or before 19.02.2016, failing which it will be presumed that you have violated the rule position given in Rule 16(2) of AIS (Conduct) Rule, 198,” reads the notice issued by GAD.
