District police today claimed to have arrested 12 boys in a case of stone pelting incidents that took place in Gujjar Mandi and New Bridge areas of Rajouri town on Friday.
As per details, two separate FIRs have been registered in Rajouri police station against the stone pelters. “As many as twelve boys have so far been arrested for their involvement in stone pelting while police is also searching for more boys who were seen pelting stones”, senior police officer said.
He disclosed that majority of the boys involved in stone pelting are in the age group of 15 to 23 years with most of them hailing from a particular locality of Rajouri town.
“Police teams kept raiding several locations throughout last night and arrested 12 boys involved in stone pelting”, a senior police officer said.
Senior authorities have also given directions to act tough against all the trouble makers, he added.
