A big achievement for the Anti-Narcotics Task Force(ANTF) as the ANTF at the start of the year has recovered 15 kgs of Charas(cannabis) from 3 trucks. The ANTF has arrested 3 drivers when they were traveling to Rajouri. All three drivers are residents of Rajouri only.

While talking to the media SSP ANTF Vinay said “on 31st night we recovered about 5.6 kgs of charas from a truck and during the interrogation, the smuggler informed us that another truck carrying drugs is also coming to this side. In the morning we made strict checkpoints and soon we recovered 4.5 kgs of charas from the second truck and similarly, we recovered 5.11 kgs of charas from the third truck. We were receiving the reports a week before 31st and there were reports that people may consume such substances during the New Year celebration”. “The ANTF was formed in 2020 and within a few months, it has recovered much amount of drugs. The ANTF is now working as a full-fledged body and by the start of the year, we have recovered 3 consignments. 2021 will be a decisive year for ANTF as J&K police have taken a resolve to eliminate this menace from the UT. I assure the people of J&K that these drug dealers will surely suffer a heavy loss this year” he added
