250 Chinese troops enter Arunachal’s East Kameng district, stay for three hours

In yet another provocation, a transgression by the Chinese army in Arunachal Pradesh’s Yangtse region last week has been reported. As per India Today, the transgression took place around the same time that India’s bid for the membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) was blocked by Beijing.
The website quoted sources in defence ministry and Intelligence Bureau as saying that the transgression by nearly 250 soldiers of the Peoples’ Liberation Army divided into four groups happened on June 9 in Arunachal’s East Kameng district.
They reportedly spent nearly three hours on this side of the border before going back to their side.
Meanwhile, as per the report, the Indian Army has decided to lodge a complaint with the Chinese government.
