Over 2900 pilgrims today paid obeisance at the holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, where the number of yatris who had darshan of the self made Ice-Shivlingam has touched to about 2 lakh so far.
An official spokesman said here this evening that 48-day-long pilgrimage since July 2 from shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam tracks was progressing smoothly. He said today 2943 pilgrims, including women and sadhus, paid obeisance at the cave shrine today.
With this a total the number of pilgrims who had paid obeisance so far has touched to about two lakh. Majority of the pilgrims have since returned to their homes, he said.
