3rd batch of 1871 pilgrims leave for Amarnath shrine from Jammu

The third batch of 1871 Amarnath pilgrims today left for the holy cave shrine situated in South of Himalayas from here.
“A fresh batch of 1871 pilgrims this early morning left from the Bhagwati Nagar-based Yatri Niwas in a convoy of 56 vehicles amid rains,” police here said.
They said the yatris comprised of 1505 males, 366 females, 140 sadhus and 10 sadhvis.
Fifty-six vehicles, including LMVs and SRTC buses, carried the devotees to Kashmir Valley.
Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh flagged off the first batch of yatris on July 1.
