J&K takes on CRPF as QFs line up drawn

Hosts Jammu and Kashmir Police has been pitted against CRPF in the quarterfinal of the 65th All India Police Hockey Championship scheduled for tomorrow at K K Hakhu Stadium, here at 12 noon.
With league round already completed today, six other quarterfinalists have also been spotted. These teams are defending champion, ITBP, Punjab Police, BSF, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Now, all four quarterfinals have been scheduled for tomorrow. While ITPB shall take on Odisha at 8 am while Punjab has been pitted against Tamil Nadu at 10 am. Similarly, in the last eight stages match, BSF shall take on Karnataka at 2 pm.
Earlier, in the last league round matches, played today, CRPF trounced Haryana Police 3-1 to qualify from group-C. Karnataka outplayed West Bengal 4-1 and Odisha held Manipur to 1-1 draw. In other matches, ITBP blanked Jharkhand Police 6-0 while BSF defeated Uttar Pradesh 5-3. Important to mention here that Manoj Singh Mehra of Uttrakhand made third hat trick of the tournament striking four times to make it a big 5-0 win for the side in a group-A match.
