74 kg of Bhukki Recovered from Truck Full of Junk, Accused Arrested

Jhajjar Kotli police recovered a consignment of narcotic substance Bhukki from a truck. Kashmir junk was being brought to Jammu in the truck. The drug consignment was hidden in the middle of the junk. A total of 73.360 kg of Bhukki was recovered from the truck.

 

The truck driver Krishan Lal resident Arnia was taken into custody, and a case was registered against him in the police station under the NDPS Act. The Jhajjar Kotli Police received vital information that a consignment of Bhukki was being brought in a truck coming from Kashmir to Jammu. On this information, the police personnel blocked the Jammu Srinagar National Highway at Suketar. Police personnel stopped truck number JK02U-2569 coming from Kashmir to Jammu for investigation.

The truck driver told the police that he was going to Jammu with the junk. Being suspicious of the driver’s words, the police personnel searched the truck and found a narcotic drug inside it. Bhukki was confiscated and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination. The truck driver is being questioned whether he has brought the consignment of drugs from Kashmir to Jammu earlier.
