90-year-old Baramulla man dies of COVID19, J&K toll 260

A 90-year-old Covid-19 positive patient from Pattan area of Baramulla died in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the number of fatalities due to the coronavirus in J&K to 260, officials said on Tuesday.

An official said that a 90-year-old man from Pattan Baramulla who was admitted on July 19 and died at CD hospital on Tuesday.

He said the patient was suffering from multiple ailments including hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Earlier, a 70-year-old man from Lal Bazar Srinagar, a 43-year-old man from Parigam Pulwama and a 50-year-old man from Mirbazar Kulgam have died due to novel coronavirus.

Officials from SKIMS told that a 70-year-man from Lal Bazar who was admitted on July 18, a 43-year-old man from Parigam who was admitted on July 20 and a 50-year-old man from Mirbazar Kulgam who was admitted on July 19 died on Tuesday morning.

He said that the patient from Pulwama was suffering from Chronic Kidney disease and other two were suffering from Pneumonia besides other ailments.

With four more deaths, the death toll due to COVID-19 in J&K has reached to 260 including 240 from Kashmir division and 20 from Jammu division.
