Asks executing agencies to complete all roads in minimum possible time

Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice, Abdul Haq today laid foundation of three link roads here at Shotpora, Manegah and Behak Sabya, coming up at a cost of Rs 14.56 crore under RIDF-XII (NABARD) and PMGSY.
The Minster directed the concerned departments to ensure effective planning and execution of works to achieve result-oriented development. He also stressed upon the officers to properly plan the developmental works and execute them in time-bound manner. He added that concerted efforts should be made to achieve tangible results which he said would help in providing better amenities and services to the people.
The Minister was briefed about the upgradation and maintenance of various roads in the area taken up under PMGSY.
The Minister was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, SSP Kupwara, Engineers of various wings and district officials.
Later, he also visited different areas of Lolab constituency, besides interacting with public delegations at various places. The Minister gave patient hearing to the delegations and assured that their demands will be redressed soon.
