Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today kick started the development work of lanes at Ward No. 55 Deep Nagar and Ward No. 56 Marakhari, Gangyal Industrial Area being executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs. 15 lakh.
During his interaction with the local populace, the Speaker said that the government stands firm in its commitment to provide better amenities to people of the state.
He said that directions have been given to the concerned executing agencies to ensure time bound completion of projects He further assured that every area in the state will have better connectivity via roads in a phased manner.
The Speaker further said that development and growth of people is interlinked with the infrastructure provided to the people.
He further directed the officials of JMC to complete the work in the given time frame with ensuring quality works.
Earlier while speaking at a function organized on the theme “Save Birds and Save water”at Dogra Sadar Sabha Jammu, the Speaker stressed on optimization of natural resources in a judicious way for sustainable development and economic growth. The Speaker stressed that eco-tourism needs to be promoted while focusing on preserving our ecology.
As a part of the programme, Speaker and students placed water feeders for birds at various strategic locations in Women’s Park, Jammu
Among others present on the occasion were MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta and President Dogra Sadar Sabha Gulchain Singh Charak besides students from various schools of Jammu City.
