‘After having launched several schemes aimed at helping women of Jammu and Kashmir live with dignity, the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti took children onboard and started a special train for them which will chug between Banihal and Baramulla. This fortnightly train service will stay exclusively for children and help them have joy rides as well as commute between the mentioned stations for their daily routine works including going to schools’.

Hailing this move, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Zone President Jammu West, Puneet Singh Jamwal today said that prior to this Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who is also PDP Chief had started special buses for women, launched schemes for women, helped baby girls with financial assistances and even distributed two-wheelers amongst girl students which were all aimed at giving women folk a dignified life.

He said that special train is also part of that move which is nothing but much talked about ‘Peace Initiative’. Children in our state have suffered a lot because of political uncertainties and other issues and such moves will not only help them stay cheerful but also enable them to commute between different distances with safety and comfort.

Urging youth to strengthen hands of PDP and not fall a prey to divisive politics launched by opposition leaders, Puneet Singh Jamwal said coalition government is not having any dearth of funds but needs support of public to implement welfare schemes aimed at strengthening people’s resolve in democracy.
