AICSSO organizations hold convention on Save Reservation

A historical One day Convention on Save Reservation held at Chenab Valley Head Quarter Doda by All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations Unit (AICSSO) Doda by its District President DFO Amar Nath Bhagat in which large number of people from SC ST OBC RBA categories belonging to Doda, Bhardwah, Thathri, Blessa, Kishtwar, Kasrtigarh, Assar, Batote and Ramban participated.

State President R K Kalsotra accompanied by State Coordinator Piar Bhagat and Finance Secy. Harbans Loach. R. K. Kalsotra was the Chief Guest, while addressing the gathering he said that the Reserved Categories always suffer due to the anti- Sc/St/OBC policies of the Government and vested interested in the bureaucracy create crisis for these communities time & again which forces the people to come on roads.

He further said that in the latest case State Government has failed to defend its Reservation Act-2004 in which the State High Court has struck down the Reservation in Promotion due to slackness of the State Government and its Law Department. He further said that Government has recruited about two lacs people by way of RET, REZ, RES, NRHM, SPOs, Anganwari workers, adhoc, temporary appointments etc. by making them permanent where no reservation has been provided by the Govt. Due to which about fifty thousand posts have been accumulated as backlog for reserved categories in the State. He urged the Government to clear the backlog of posts by launching special drives for these categories.

Others who were present during the occasion including Girdhari Lal Bhagat, Parveen Jaryal, Ashik Watal, Bishan Lal, Raj Singh, Kailash Chands, Javid Watal, Prem Chand Bhagat, Dr Kartar Bhardwaj, Kuldeep Bhagat, Surjeet Singh, Ghulam Navi and others.
