Srinagar, November 30
Air traffic was again disrupted in Srinagar International Airport, where only four flights were able to operate due to flog, resulting in poor visibility.
Four flights were able to operate from the airport till 1400 hrs today, an official of the airport said. However, as day progressed visibility become very poor in the afternoon forcing cancellation of all incoming and outgoing flights, he said. As many as 17 flights operate between Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Delhi on a daily.
Hundreds of passengers had to return from the airport after cancellation of flights.
“We had an evening flight from Srinagar, but when we reached the airport, we were informed that the flight was delayed due to poor visibility. But after waiting for a couple of hours, we were told that all flights have been cancelled,” Shabir Hassan, a Delhi bound passenger said.
