AJKLTF delegation calls on Education Minister, Director Education

A delegation of Poonch Unit of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation led by Darshan Kumar, District President and Gurvinder Singh, District Organising Secretary today called on the Education Minister Naeem Akhter and Director Education Jammu Smt Smita Sethi at Dakbunglow Poonch, apprising him about various issues concerning the teachers community and submitted suggestions for the improvement in the education system. The detailed report was submitted to Education Minister for his intervention.
The Education Minister and Director School Education were apprised about the demands including reorganization in the department, Reorganisation and creations of new Education Zones, Keep teachers free from assignments other than teaching, Mid Day Meal be out sourced, Proper implementation of transfer Policy, Permission for Higher Studies to equip the teaching community with higher education, Need to review the result bar criteria for annual increment, Timely issuance of annual Calendar/Syllabus, Visit of Higher officials at root level, All Schools must have teachers of All subjects, Central schemes should be implemented in Toto in J&K, Proper representation in Trainings/Refresher courses in and outside the state, Check on Illegal Mushrooming of Private Schools.
Naeem Akhter after giving patient hearing to the members of the Federation assured to look into the issues of teachers. He also assured for early redressel of their demands. He also stressed on the sincere efforts of the teaching community for the overall improvement in the education department. Other who were in the delegation included Harish Sharma, General secretary, Fayaz Ali, Vice President, Ajay Maini, Mohinder Bali, Ramesh Chander, Dr Dharminder Shastri, Anoop Sharma, Gurvinder Singh Meet, Pankaj Sharma Ashish Gupta and Neetan Sharma.
