Poonch unit of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation led by its president Darshan Kumar and General Secretary Harish Sharma called on the Chief Education Officer Poonch Lal Hussain, apprising him about various issues concerning the teachers and submitted suggestions for the improvement in the education system. The detailed report was submitted to Education Minister through CEO Poonch.
In a press statement issued here, a committee of teachers/master was constituted by the Poonch unit of AJKLTF to find out the causes of poor results of govt schools and how it can be improved. The committee after organizing various meeting of teachers and prominent citizens at various places in the district drafted a report where suggestions were also submitted for improving standard of education in the district. The Education Minister, J&K through CEO Poonch was apprised about the demands including reorganization in the department, Reorganisation and creations of new Education Zones, Keep teachers free from assignments other than teaching, Mid Day Meal be out sourced, Proper implementation of transfer Policy and others. The Chief Education Officer assured the delegation that he would take immediate steps to resolve the issues which are his level and sent the detailed report to Education Minister for necessary action.
The deputation was comprised of Gurvinder Singh, Organising secretary, Dr Dharminder Shastri, Harish Sharma, General Secretary, Anoop Sharma, Mohinder Bali, Ashish Gupta, Yougal Kishore, Ajay Maini, Amarjeet Singh, Pankaj Sharma and others.
