Rajouri, July 9
Army organised an Amity meeting at Piragali in Rajouri district to enhance people to people contact and thus establish bonhomie and confidence building measures between the Army and the locals. The meeting was attended by large number of villagers from Piragali. Amongst those present were the Sarpanch of the village, religious teachers and prominent members of the society.
The interaction was aimed at spreading awareness amongst the locals about role of Army in Nation building and welfare activities being undertaken in their area. The participants applauded the work undertaken by the Army and conveyed their appreciation for the selfless service being rendered by them to motivate the youth and children of the area.
They were also appreciative of these meetings which involved the locals in formulation of the plans by the Army to engage the youth and in selecting ‘Sadhbhavana’ projects which would help the progress and growth of the area.
