Andrabi reviews Milad arrangements at Anantnag

Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, PDD, PHE, and I&FC, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, today reiterated the Government’s commitment of providing basic facilities to people of the State. He also chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for Milad-ud-Nabi (SAW) in the district.
The Minister asked the concerned departments to make necessary arrangements at the shrines of Khiram, Kabamarag and Seer Hamadan where large congregations are expected.
He directed to provide uninterrupted power supply, installation of DG sets, water tanker service, adequate transport facility from Anantnag to Khiram, Seer Hamadan and Kabamarag during the auspicious days, besides medicare facilities, supply of essentials like Rice, Flour, Sugar, K.oil, LPG and additional quota for these areas and deployment of fire tenders to meet any eventuality. He also directed for ensuring cleanliness in and around the shrines and major mosques of the district. He along with the DDC Anantnag visited Kabamarag shrine and enquired about the arrangements being made for the Milad. Later, Andrabi chaired a meeting to review the achievements made under PHE, PDD, I&FC sectors in the district. He was informed that under the PHE sector Rs. 1. 93 crore were expended against an availability of Rs 2.53 crore. Further work on 29 water supply schemes in the district is under progress and 15 water supply schemes have been targeted for completion during the current year. Under PDD sector, the Minister was apprised that the augmentation of 10KV capacity transformers at Dialgam and Mattan will be made by the end of December 2016. It was also said that power curtailment schedule for non metered and metered areas of the district will be published within a week. It was given out that under flagship scheme Rs 4.45 crore have been sanctioned for adding of LT, HT lines in the electric sub divisions of Anantnag and Dooru.
