28th Annual Chountarar Mata Bhandara concluded here today with 40,000-50,000 pilgrims paying their obeisance at the popular shrine in one day situated in the heart of Dhar separating Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils. Voluntary organizations and Seva Mandals organized free langers en-route the yatra for the visiting devotees. Yatra was flagged off from Narsingh Mandir Ramnagar, Vishwakarma Bhawan, MH Chowk Udhampur Durga Mandir Gujroo Nagrota and Jagan Nath Mandir Thial on same day along with Akhand Jyoties and thousands of devotees.
Whereas, exquisite arrangements had been made by PHE, PDD, PWD, Rural Development Department, Health Deptt, Transport Deptt. It is pertinent to mention that thousands of devotees from different parts of this state, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and other parts of the North zone participates every year Via Kirmoo Rang Bland, Sunetar, Dhannu and Dhema- Thial-Chountra mata routes crosses one lac mark almost during every year during Navratras. R. S. Pathania, MLA Ramnagar, who is also ex-officio chairman of Sri Mata Chountra Parbandhak Committee, Ramnagar, was himself at the vanguard reviewing various arrangements made by various departments for smooth and successful conduct of Yatra. He also participated in ‘Yagya’ for peace and prosperity in the area. He informed the people that a road from Thail to Sri Chountara Mata Shrine as been sanctioned under CRF at the cost of 26 crores and work on it shall start very soon with a cherished dream coming true whereby a motorable road shall connect the Shrine with Dhar road. He reiterated his resolve to boost pilgrimage tourism in Ramnagar & Majalta Tehsils which shall boost local employment as well exposure and development of the area.
