Srinagar, April 29
The annual review meeting of the Rural Development Department, Pulwama, was held here Saturday under the chairmanship of Director, Rural Development Department, Kashmir, Gazanfer Ali.
The meeting was informed that while a total of 1,837 works were taken up some 1,778 works were completed under the MGNREGA during the FY 2016-17, generating some 7.35 lac man-days of employment in the district, adding that some 45,000 Job Cards were also provided to rural households under the scheme. Whereas some 353 small houses were constructed for the homeless people under the IAY scheme. All BDOs, EEs, AEEs and other officials attended the meeting.
