Former minister and Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) general secretary Manjit Singh today alleged that under BJP-PDP attempts are being made to lower the morale of the security forces.
As per a press statement, former Minister Manjit Singh said that the coalition Government has compromised everything for the sake of power and put the lives of the Security Forces and common peoples at risk in Kashmir.
“Situation in Kashmir has gone out of control. People have openly targeting security forces. If security forces respond in self defense, they are not allowed to do so. They have tied hands of the security forces, while anti-nationals have gained support from within the Government,” he alleged.
He questioned BJP about its stand on Kashmir and how they compromised security of the security personnel who stand guard our borders and also handle internal security keeping their lives on risk.
He said that the coalition Government has lost its moral responsibility to rule the State. “Time has come for them to resign paving way for Governor Rule in Jammu and Kashmir so that the State can witness phase of peace and progress,” he said.
He said that every day, differences among the coalition partners surface on many controversial and important issues. “The coalition has put the entire state on fire where democratic institution has been compromised for petty political interests,” he further alleged.
He pointed out at the developmental projects which are still in progress and no work has been completed. “The developmental works started by the previous Government are in progress. No work has been completed. The Government is allegedly indulged in corrupt practices where from top to bottom are involved,” he further alleged.
