New Delhi, April 15
Lashing out at Kashmir-centric politicians who tend to play soft on terrorism, Union Minister of State (MoS) PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that ‘apologetic’ Kashmir leaders are guilty of encouraging terrorism in the Valley.
He said, they have lost the moral authority to insinuate the Army personnel whom they find a soft target while they do not have the courage to utter a single word of condemnation against the perpetrators of terrorism.
Speaking to media in the midst of ongoing BJP campaign for Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election, Dr Jitendra Singh, without naming anybody, said that some of the Kashmir-centric leaders are extremely apologetic while making a reference to stone-pelters or so-called freedom fighters in the name of so – called “Jehad”, but they become instantly vociferous while insinuating the Army and the security forces.\
Dr Jitendra Singh also questioned, what he described as “selective” concern of some of the Kashmir leaders for anti-India activists while tending to be oblivious of the enormous damage suffered by security personnel and others. The matter of fact is, he said, that these leaders are not honest even to the separatist or the semi-separatist ideology which they claim to profess, but are only shamelessly playing politics by other means.
Lauding the commendable role played by Indian Army, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the nation is incredibly indebted to the services and sacrifices of the Indian military and para-military forces and therefore, it is a sin or sacrilege to do or say anything which could lower the morale of security forces. Those who feel apparently concerned about the damage suffered by stone-pelters, should first gather the courage to teach the stone-pelters the virtue of showing respect for a soldier, he said.
