Army captain killed in road mishap, oil tanker burnt in Kathua

 An Army was officer killed and three jawans were injured in road accident while an oil tanker caught fire in two separate incidents in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

One Army Captain died and three jawans sustained injuries when an official gypsy they were travelling in last night collided with a truck near Channi in Kathua district,” police spokesperson here today said. He said police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital from where they were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.

The deceased Army officer was identified as Captain Sumit and he was posted at Ratnuchak, Jammu. Meanwhile in another incident, an oil tanker accidentally caught fire near Rajbagh area of Kathua. “The driver of the tanker timely managed to jump out of the vehicle,” the police said, adding that the tanker got completely damaged in the fire.
