Army Chief Bipin Rawat reaches Srinagar

Srinagar, May 1:
Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has reached Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening. Rawat is here to analyse the situation post the mutilation of two Indian jawans at the Line of Control, earlier this morning. The Pakistani forces this morning opened fire at Indian post in the Krishna Ghati, Poonch district.
This resulted in the killing of two Indian soldiers and one was injured but is out of danger now. The Indian forces retaliated strongly. The Indian Army condemned the act and vowed to give a befitting reply. Defence Minister, Arun Jaitley, on Monday, lashed out at Pakistan for giving birth to act an act. He said such things do no take place even at war. Jaitley termed this act of Pakistani forces as a reprehensible and inhumane act. The BJP veteran on the same note stated that such acts do not take place even in war.
Jaitley assured the citizens of the country that sacrifices of the two soldiers won’t go in vain and said the country has full confidence in armed forces which will react appropriately.
Interestingly, the act took place a day after Pakistan Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited some areas along the LoC and promised support to the Kashmiris.
