Army conducts medical camp at Palma

The Army organised a Medical camp as part of Sadbhavana initiative at Palma in Rajouri district, today. The camp was organized to provide medical facilities like free investigations, counseling, lecture on prevention against communicable and life style diseases as well as distribution of free medicines to the local population of remote areas in attendance.
The people of this area are generally affected by ailments such as anemia, skin and parasitic infections. The doctors educated the locals about emergence of life style diseases and their prevention while interacting with the locals. The camp was conducted jointly by a team of doctors from civil hospital under Dr Javed Sarwarsha and the Army.A total of 159 children were deformed and 139 women were screened for anemia and subsequently provided medication.
This endeavor to provide medical aid at their door step has been appreciated by the people living in remote areas. They requested that such medical camps be conducted by army at regular interval, and in conjunction with civil medical authorities in respective areas of their jurisdiction.
