Army conducts vocational training

The Indian Army in an endeavor to boost self employment for the unemployed youth residing in remote areas, conducted a vocational training course in `Electrician and Welding’ in conjunction with the civil administration at Kalal.    17 youth from remote villages of Kalal, Deeing and Bareri attended the five week long cadre which was conducted by the Indian Army Unit with an aim of  providing avenues for establishment of small scale projects to these youth in respective villages. Special emphasis was given to enhance skills in keeping with the Army’s commitment towards employment generation in rural and backward villages of border areas.      The initiative by the Army will go a long way in generating employment, poverty eradication thereby heralding development in the region.  Mr Rohit, a trainee expressed satisfaction on the conduct and standards acquired during training.
