Army empowers youth with driving skills The youth were imparted driving lessons comprising both practical and theoretical aspects, including maintenance of the vehicle. In addition to imparting driving training, liaison with Regional Transport Office (RTO), Rajouri has been carried out to issue learning license to all the trainees, which will further assist these unemployed youth to earn a healthy livelihood. Speaking on the occasion, the Sarpanch of village Lam said that the various initiatives by the Army, especially for the youth, will assist in the all-round socio economic development of the region.

As part of this initiative the Rashtriya Rifles unit at Lam under the aegis of Reasi based Counter Insurgency Force Headquarters and Regional Transport Office (RTO), Rajouri conducted a Driving Course for the youth of nearby villages of Lam, Laroka and Saryah of Rajouri district. The 23 days long course was attend by 10 youth under the flagship programme Op Sadbhavana.
