Udhampur, April 30
Talwara based Army unit organised a talk on skill development and career counseling for the youth belonging to remote areas of the under the aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Force Headquarter. The talks were conducted at Chaladh, Kunalagala, Talwara, Hansawaligali and Barakh on various dates which was culminated on Sunday. The same was part of Army efforts to provide means of livelihood to the unemployed youth of the region.
The aim of the event is to extend awareness amongst students and youth hailing from remote and far flung areas regarding provisions of education and employment facilities available for them. The youth were made aware about number of Government and Private Agencies throughout the country and various facilities for the eligible candidates to earn a decent livelihood. The event imparted adequate knowledge about skill development programme of Government of India.
The awareness of skill development and career counseling organised by the Army was much appreciated by the youth, students and locals present. The Sarpanchs and the villagers thanked Army for the effort and said such gesture is encouraging for the students and unemployed youth of remote villages. They also assured to make full use of the information provided by Army for better and bright future.
