Army organises training for women

Army has been constantly undertaking variety of projects for welfare of locals. In pursuance of this noble aim Army organized a ‘Sewing and Knitting Training Workshop for Women’ under Sadbhavana initiative for a duration of one month.
A total of 33 women from socially and economically backward strata of society will be trained on nuances of Sewing and Knitting by Shasia Begam and Brij Bhushan with an aim to enable them to become financially independent and self-employed. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by representatives of Army in the presence of prominent civil dignitaries.
A number of Veterans and local people were also present during the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, representative of Army assured the gathering on Army’s whole hearted support in undertaking such ventures in future also. The project brings out advancement and empowerment among the trainees by way of imparting them a skill which would help them to pursue an independent vocation.
