ARMY promotes road safety

Taking notice of recent surge in number of road traffic accidents and loss of life due to not wearing of helmets by two wheeler riders, the Army in Udhampur has taken an initiative to propagate road safety habits among service and civilian personnel transiting through Udhampur Military Station.

Army personnel and civilians not wearing helmets or not adhering to basic traffic rules are being educated on the importance of road safety, own safety as well as safety of other citizens.

The Station Commander has expressed his gratitude to the personnel involved in the initiative as also requested full cooperation of all civilian and service personnel in adhering to the rules concerning road safety including wearing helmets and adhering to speed limits.
