Army Public School celebrates ‘AWES Day’

Army Public School, Udhampur today celebrated “Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Raising Day” with full enthusiasm and zeal. A number of programmes were organized to mark this occasion. The day began with special morning assembly in which students highlighted the important role being played by AWES in the field of education, especially for the wards of army fraternity across the nation.
Later school vice principal along with the students of MUN Club visited the “Oldage home”.
There too the students presented beautiful cultural programmes such as Solo Song, Group Song, Bhajan etc. The vice principal distributed the gifts sent from school management. A painting competition was organized on themes like “Save Environment”, “Green Earth, Clean Earth”, “Save Energy , Save Resources”, ” Your Vision for Green World” for classes 6th , 7th 8th and 9th respectively in which students participated with great enthusiasm. A “Book Fair” was organized at APS Pry Wing on this occasion. Parents visited the stalls in Book Fair and showed their interest in the event.
Principal Sanjeev Kumar , congratulated all on this occasion and motivated all the members of APS Udhampur to follow the direction given by the AWES and give their best to achieve the goals of society.
