Army to play a big role to bring back normalcy in Kashmir valley for this army has to assist Jammu and Kashmir Police in sensitive areas of Kashmir valley where violent protests are reported more.
Sources said, “Central government has asked Army to assist the Jammu and Kashmir Police to restore normalcy in the Valley, where Pakistan sponsored militants, stone pelters and separatists have vitiated the atmosphere and have taken people hostage for the past 69-days.”
Already army has sent one additional brigade of around 3, 500 army men including three infantry battalions to south Kashmir and its two brigades from Jammu soon to be rushed to Kashmir Valley, sources asserted.
Sources said, “Since the day Army has appeared in volatile areas in south Kashmir situation has improved in these areas and people have heaved a sigh of relief. It seems life would return to normal in Kashmir within a few days.”
Sources revealed that presence of Army personnel has increased manifold in south Kashmir areas, which have witnessed large scale┬áprotests and violence. “Besides involving the Army, the sleuths of Counter Insurgency Kashmir (CIK) have cracked the whip on separatist aides, who maintain a low profile. Investigations have revealed that these aides have played a vital role in distributing money among the miscreants and orchestrating the street protests,” sources added.

Sources claimed that separatists had planned to repeat 2010 situation when Separatists leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had led a march after Eid prayers and had left a “trail of destruction” behind. Already administration has been directed by Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure that normalcy in Kashmir should be restored within a week’s time and stern action should be taken against the people who are instigating youth to hit the streets and indulge in hooliganism.
