Army’s 44RR Rescue Several People After Fire Engulfs a Factory in Lassipora Pulwama

Late on Monday night, a massive fire broke out at a plastic factory in Lassipora, an industrial area in the Pulwama district. On getting information about the incident, Army personnel reached the spot and saved the lives of the factory workers and brought the fire under control with a lot of effort. However, smoke was rising even after extinguishing the fire in the early hours of Tuesday. The factory has suffered a lot from this fire. It is a matter of relief that there was no loss of life in this incident. Had the army not helped, a big accident could have happened.

According to the information received, a call was received from Lasipora at the headquarters of 44 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army at around 10 pm on Monday. A request was made for help in an emergency. As reported on the phone, a massive fire broke out at a factory named “Stalwart Plastics”. 44 RR became active as soon as the phone arrived. A team of soldiers reached the spot. First of all, the soldiers rescued the workers and civilians trapped inside the factory. Some of them were also injured due to burns. He was also given first aid.

After that, the soldiers started the operation to douse the fire. By then, the district fire department team had also reached the spot. However, by then, the quick reaction team of 22 RR had rescued the people trapped inside the factory. Then the army and the fire brigade stopped the fire from spreading, not to reach the neighbouring factory. It is being told that the fire was brought under control by around 11.30 pm. However, if the army personnel did not get on time, there would have been a big accident. The fire was spreading rapidly as it was a plastic factory.
