Jammu Tawi, September 21
The activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) Monday staged protest against the Kashmiri separatist leaders for violating the High Court order on Beef Ban across the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The agitating activists were led by district President Rishikesh Rana who demanded immediate arrest of all the separatists who denounced the High Court order and instigating people of the Valley to go for open slaughter of bovine animals during the Eid festival. They raised slogans against the fundamental forces for trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere and also against the state government for not taking any action against them.
Rana flayed the state government for siding with the separatist elements on the issue of Beef Ban instead of enforcing the order of High Court in letter and spirit. NSF categorically flayed the coalition partner BJP for maintaining criminal silence over the whole episode while giving free hand to the major partner PDP to handle the sensitive affairs of the state.
He demanded immediate arrest of all those who have denounced the High Court order and committed contempt. Rana also asked the government to enforce the ban with true spirit so that sentiments of the majority community of the nation won’t be hurt. Among those who were present in the protest included, Papinder Singh, Amit Sagotra, Navjoot Singh, Sahil Manhas, Abhinandan Bhau, Nikhil Singh, Sam Manhas, Prince Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Ajay Sharma and Others.
