Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development Department, Social Welfare and Health and Medical Education, Aseia Naqash today reviewed the implementation of directions given by former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during various tours of Srinagar city last year.
The Minister asked the officials to implement the decisions made by the former Chief Minister in letter and spirit and asked them to personally monitor the projects and review the progress on monthly basis to ensure their timely completion.
She said it was the dream of Ex-Chief Minister to develop the Srinagar City on modern lines and make it the model city in the country and said his vision will be carried forward by the present government.
During the meeting officers informed the Minister that three Community Halls have been constructed on CM’s directions and are ready to be inaugurated soon. She was also informed that the renovation and make-over of Sangarmal Shopping complex have also been completed.
The officers further informed the Minister that work is in progress at various other projects which were started on the directions of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Minister also took stock of the various other in-progress projects and called for early completion of these projects.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman LAWDA Sarmad Hafeez, Commissioner, SMC Bashir Ahmad Khan, Vice Chairman SDA Tahseen Mustafa, Chief Town Planner Iftikhar Ahmad and senior officers of concerned departments and engineers of different wings attended the meeting.
