1825 lawyers to decide fate of contesting candidates today

Jammu Tawi, April 11
The J&K High Court Bar Association Election which scheduled to be held on April 12, 2017 start from 9:30 AM to in which 19 candidates are participating.
According to the Returning Officer Abhinav Sharma four candidates have filed nomination papers for the post of President. The President Candidates who filed their nomination papers are Sr. Adv BS Salathia, Adv Kuldeep Singh Parihar, Adv SK Shukla and Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed.
For the post of Vice President 6 candidates are in race and the name of the persons who nomination papers are Advocates Ajay Gandotra, Ajay Singh Kotwal, Deewakar Sharma, JP Nanda, Sachin Gupta and Yaseer Ejaz Tak.
For the post of General Secretary three candidates have filed nomination papers namely Advocates Abisekh Wazir, Prem Sadotra and Vinod Saini.
For the post of Joint Secretary 4candidates have filed their nomination papers namely Aditya Sharma. Himanshu Sharma, Shrishti Pal Mengi and Zahida Parveen and for the posts of cashier two candidates filed their nomination papers are Chetan Misri and Jasleen Kour.
According to the Returning Officer Abhinav Sharma that names of 29 Advocates nominated as Election Management Team.
Today 111 postal votes are casted out of 1825 votes.
In the meanwhile a suit was filed against the decision of General House meeting in which it was decided that no voting right was given to candidates who were register with JKHBAJ after January 1, 2016.
Forest Magistrate Jammu Wangial Tsering after hearing battery of lawyers for more than 2 hours from both the sides dismissed the interim relief seeking voting right. JNF
