Bhalla takes stock of extensive damage caused by devastating blaze in Narwal

Former Minister Raman Bhalla today visited Narwal area wherein three people lost their lives and six others received injuries on Saturday in a devastating fire that destroyed over 150 “Jhuggis” in Jammu.
Ex Sarpanch Kasturi Lal, Ex Panch Billa, Shabir Kohli, Raju, Ward President Dewan Chand, Gopal, Ashok Kumar and others also accompanied the former minister. Interacting with the members of victims, Bhalla was told that three charred bodies were brought to the mortuary of the hospital during the night while six persons suffering critical burn injuries were being treated.
The fire started in Narwal area of Jammu city around 12 AM in the slum area where dozens of families of Rohingya Muslims who were uprooted from Myanmar because of persecution have taken shelter. Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla asked authorities in particular to come to the rescue of fire victims and ensure proper treatment in Govt hospitals besides ensuring food and clothing for the members of victims and people of Jammu to extend their helping hand to encourage them to make a fresh beginning after the devastating fire.
Making humble appeal to all to come out with all sort of help for fire victims in their individual capacity saying that man cannot create a leaf or a fly, though he is free to tamper with God’s creation to the extent he wills.
