Bishnah leaders highlight demands

The prominent leaders of the Bishnah constituency today convened a meeting under the chairmanship of Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Incharge Youth Wing, Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K wherein Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister & President Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K participated as Chief Guest. Wherein besides large number of local leaders/workers, Sarpanches, Panches, Numberdars, Chowkidars and other prominent persons of the area participated.

Various leaders speaking on the occasion laid stress for the immediate solution of the burning problems being faced by the people of whole of the Bishnah including, due to the mismanagement and improper measures for providing the water for irrigation to the farmers by de-silting the canals and its distributaries due to which farmers are facing numerous difficulties for sowing their crops. Due to defected transformers and mis-management by the electricity department a very dangerous situation has arisen because of non-availability of the electricity for both house-hold and irrigation purposes. All the educational institutions including the Degree college of Bishnah for both boys and girls has totally failed to cater the need of the students due to non-availability of accommodation as well as ground for their activities.

They showed their anguish on the prevailing surcharged atmosphere due to the firing time and again from across the border in the fields and habititations, including the Arnia Town.

Charak speaking on the occasion said that he is in total agreement with the speakers for about the above mentioned issues, he appreciated the leaders/workers who have rightly criticized the government for giving deaf-ear to the genuine demands made by the people time and again and for not taking proper measurers for their solution. He warned the authorities for dire consequences if the above mentioned serious problems being faced by the people are not solved.

He also urged upon the government to constitute a team of special officers for the assessment of loss of the farmers and other public due to the Pak firing and to take necessary measures to save the public including taking proper measures for paying them compensation and permanent solution for the sufferers, failing which people would be left with no alternative except to protest against the concerned authorities.
