Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and People’s Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday, while visiting the Party Headquarters, told reporters that there’s nothing wrong in calling RSS and BJP criminal parties.
Accusing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of hijacking “Hindutva and Hinduism”, she said that Sanatan Dharma does not teach communalism.
The communal parties which want to make Hindu and Muslims fight each other and indulge in lynching in the name of religion can be compared to the ISIS or any other like-minded group because both kill people in the name of religion,” Mufti said
“RSS, Jan Sangh and BJP want to make people in the country fight each other in the name of religion. So they have hijacked Hindutva and Hinduism,” she added.
Mufti further said that Sanatan Dharma teaches us “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which means “the world is one family”; however, “BJP and RSS are trying to teach us is neither Hindutva nor Hinduism.”
