Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) facilitated newly elected district and constituency presidents of Kashmir division, on Tuesday.
The official function was organized at Banquet Hall, Srinagar and was presided over by the party’s senior leader and State General Secretary (Org), Ashok Koul.
Koul, while speaking to the newly elected presidents said that the party members have elected them with the hope to serve their areas in an efficient manner. “Apart from strengthen the party at grass root level in Kashmir, the purpose of electing these people was to make proper representation from each constituency and district of the state,” Koul said.
He also said them to gear up for the upcoming Municipal elections in their respective constituencies. “We want a good representation in the Municipal elections and for that we have to work hard to ensure our representation in Kashmir division also,” he added.
Meanwhile, party’s State General Secretary (Org) entrusted these elected presidents to highlight the state and centrally sponsored schemes, so that common people are benefitted from schemes.
“BJP government led by Modi Ji has launched dozens of schemes to ensure quality life of common man in every nook and corner of the country, and now its our duty to educate local people about those schemes,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP’s MLC from Kashmir in his congratulatory message to the newly elected presidents said that not only the party needs their service but common people also need them, so that genuine issues are brought to the party high command for the redressal.
Other senior leaders present on the occasion were GM Mir, Haleema JI, Dr Ali Mohammad Mir, D K Nehru, G N Dar, Arif Raja, Ashok Bhatt, Moti Koul, Fayaz Bhat and others.
