BJP-PDP clinging on to power just for the sake of power: Bhalla

Describing Congress Party as an instrument of service to the people and having always worked for upliftment and well being of the people keeping aside their caste, colour, region or religion, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that Congress Party has always defeated the autocratic behavior of those who believe in suppressing or oppressing and victimizing the masses or opponents while in power. He said that the Congress party is emerging stronger in all areas of the state and it would vigorously expose the wrong policies of the PDP-BJP government, accused the two parties of hoodwinking the people during elections. He said that poor governance has rendered the administration completely paralysed. He exhorted the administration to wake up from deep slumber and attend to the public issues. He was addressing an impressive Congress rally at Nanak Nagar today where prominent youth activists from other political parties joined Congress under his leadership at Nanak Nagar today. Anil Chopra District, President Urban, Dr Ramakant Dubey, Bupinder Kour Block President Mahila Congress also addressed gathering at Nanak Nagar. Those who joined today included S. Narinder Singh, S Paramjit Singh, S Mandeep Singh, S Surjeet Singh, Vinay Kumar, S.Kulvinder Singh, S Harvinder Singh, S Paramveet Singh, S Jagdeep Singh, S. Jagpal Singh. Expressing concern over
closing and shifting of Governmentt schools, Bhalla said that Government before taking decision of closing and shifting schools did not take care of students and their parents who underwent serious sufferings after closing schools as most of the schools were having strength of students mostly from weaker sections of the society and with the closing of schools, such students have been deprived from getting education as new schools are at a distance and people who are daily wagers have no time to take and bring their children from schools in time.
