Bootlegger held with 47 pouches of illicit liquor

Ghagwal Police today claimed to have arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
The arrested bootlegger has been identified as Sunil Kumar son of Mohinder Pal of Ward number 4, Hiranagar District Kathua.
Police said that on the tip off, a police party of Police Station Ghagwal in association with DSB Samba raided near Railway Fatak Ghagwal and apprehended Mohinder Pal along with 47 nips/pouches (250ml) of J&K Excise.
In this connection a case FIR number 47/2017 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal and investigation taken up.
The arrest was made by Sub Inspector Rajeshwar Singh, Station House Officer Police Station Ghagwal under the close supervision of DySP headquarters Samba and the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra.
