BSF School celebrates Annual Day function ‘From Darkness to Light’ amidst great zest

Border Security Force (BSF) School Jammu today celebrated its annual day ‘From Darkness to Light’ amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The evening was reserved for a gala presentation.
Ram Awtar Inspector General of BSF Jammu Frontier was the esteemed chief guest and Kamlesh Ram Avtar was guest of honour. The occasion was also graced by the other Officers of the Force, press, parents and students. After the arrival of chief guest, the lighting of ceremonial lamp took place which was followed by Ganesh Saraswati Vandana.
The annual report read by Dr S K Shukla, Principal BSF School Jammu highlighted the school’s achievements in both academic and co-curricular activities and presented his vision for the progress of the school. He also assured the management and parents that he will leave no stone unturned to get the school to the greater heights in the future also.
Cultural programme by students this year revolved around the theme ‘From Darkness to Light’. Students showcased their talent by means of group song, orchestra, ballet, skit, thematic dance performances etc.
The chief guest gave the prizes to the meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various competitions held at School, District and National Level.
The chief guest Ram Awtar, IG BSF Jammu Frontier in his speech expressed appreciation for the laudable efforts of the Principal Dr S K Shukla and his team for making the school J&K’s No.1 Day-cum-Boarding Schools three times.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Sunita Grover. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
