More than 30,000 Para Military aspirants stage protests in Kathua against the fraud in the selection list. A few days back Central Government of India held a special recruitment drive for the BSF and CSF aspirants of J&K. But according to the people in protest during the exam of GD Constable many candidates used mobile phone, Bluetooth devices to pass the exam because of which the merit of general category touched 80-90 marks which usually remains 65. Another reason for the protest was that many candidates were over age for the exam but still, they were allowed to appear for the exam, and this deception didn’t allow the young candidates who were working hard for the last 1 year to qualify for the exam.
“Our only demand is that the government should cancel this drive and if not then they should increase the number of seats to 10,000 because after 2017 no exam was held for various posts”, a candidate from the protest said.
Another candidate slammed the government over the corruption in the recruitment drive. He said that ” we didn’t want any vacancy or job, our only demand is that the government should check the video footage of the exam day and the government will surely find out the candidates who were using unfair means during the exam.
