Capacity building programme on Juvenile Justice Act held at Ramban

National Development Foundation (NDF), a non-governmental organization in partnership with Save the Children with support from European Union organized a Capacity building programme on Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act, Interface between Children groups and District Child Protection Committee (DCPC) at Ramban today.
District Development Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz presided over the day long programme.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC highlighted the role of various departments in proper care and harmonious development of children and also the steps for dealing with juveniles and vulnerable children. DDC appreciated the role of NDF in nurturing the talent of the children and providing them exposure by organizing tours. Rahul Raja Sharma from Udyan Care Delhi was the resource person during the capacity building workshop/programme. A technical lecture was delivered on Juvenile Justice Act.
The programme was attended by Addl SP Ramban Mushtaq Rajiv Khajuria FE NDF, Ashok Pandita, DPO ICDS, Varunjeet Charak DSWO, Dy CEO Ramban, Chhemet Lamo PC Save the Children, stakeholders from education, Social Welfare, Labour , Police, members of Child Protection Committees and Children groups.
