Crime Branch Jammu registered a case against Amit Bhan R/o Chandigarh Punjab Natwarlal who duped people on the name of MBBS Seats.
A written complaint lodged by Mohammad Zubair S/o Sh. Ghulam Nabi R/o Kishtwar was received in Crime Branch , wherein the complainant has alleged that accused amit Bhan R/o Chandigarh, Punjab allured him on the pretext of providing him admission in Batra College/Hospital Jammu and in the process took a huge amount of Rs. 17.50 lacs which the complainant paid through bank transaction/transfer in A/c No. 0055040100016571 in the name of Amit Bhan maintained in J&K Bank Connaught Place, New Delhi from his A/c No. 06353020400000008 in the name of Home Care Electric Store maintained in J&K bank Hadyal Kishtwar and A/c No. C02380 in the name of one Sh. Parwaz Malik maintained in J&K Bank Town Hall Jammu. However the accused despite taking the huge amount neither arranged and provided the admission in the college nor refunded the money, as such, legal action against him may be taken etc.
The complainant further deposed orally that an amount of Rs. 27.50 lacs has also been paid in cash to the accused fro securing the admission but all his money has been usurped by the accused. From the above it spells out that the accused Amit Bhan with criminal intention allured the complainant on the false pretext of providing him admission in Batra College, Jammu and in turn took a huge amount of Rs. 45.00 lacs i.e Rs. 17.50 through bank transfer and Rs. 27.20 lacs through cash, deceitful and fraudulently and misappropriated the same thereby cheating the complainant solely in order to cause wrongful gains to himself and wrongful loss to the complainant. The omission and commissions therefore, on the part of Amit Bhan R/o Chandigarh Punjab, prima facie constitute offences punishable under section 420, 406/RPC.
