Chari Yatra through old traditional route of Vaishnodevi ji flagged off from Kol Kandoli

With the basic idea of reviving the Old Traditional route of Vaishnodevi, a Chari Yatra was flagged of today by Rakesh Wazir President, Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra at Kol  Kandoli Nagrota, the first Darshan of old traditional route  in which large number of people including ladies irrespective of caste, creed or religion participated. The Chari after passing through Jagdamba Mata Temple, Kher Bhawani Temple, Maha Lakshmi Temple Pangali, Shiv Mandir Thanda Pani, Gondla Kali Mata Mandir, Ram Darbar Bamyal will halt today at Oli Mata Temple.

This Chari Yatra is organised by Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Pracheen Marg Committee under the over all supervision of its President Kuldeep Raj Luthra,Vice President Kartar Chand, Secretary Master Jagdish Raj etc. Wazir while speaking on the occasion said that with the revival of this old traditional route and making of bridge at Bamyal which is sanctioned recently by then Advisor to Governor Parvez Dewan  and up upgradation of Katra –Kol Kandoli Nagrota route via Bamyal and Katra –Akhnoor route via Mathwar the distance between Katra to Akhnoor, Mathwar, Sunder Bani, Poonch & Rajouri will decrease by 40 kms vis-à-vis whole area and pilgrim places like Mathwar, Ambaran at Akhnoor, Showa Mata, Oli Mata Temple etc. will get opened for Vaishnodevi ji pilgrimage by which stay of Vaishnodevi pilgrims, economy of the area and development of the area will get major boost.

Others who were present during the occasion including Chander Mohan Sharma, Sarpanch Ram Singh, Uttam Singh, Lal Hussain Lodha, Subhash Chander, Vijay Sharma, Suraj and others.
