A day after concluding his day-long visit to Goa, Chinese Foreign MinisterWang Yi will on Saturday call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The two leaders are expected to discuss issues of mutual interests.
He will also hold bilateral consultations with the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Wang`s visit to India is part of the regular high-level dialogue between the two countries.
Both the foreign ministers have been meeting regularly on the margins of multilateral meetings.
During their meeting, the two sides will discuss various issues of mutual interests including the upcoming multilateral meetings including G-20 Summit being held in China and BRICS Summit being held in India.
Wang had visited Goa on Friday to review logistical and security arrangements in the state which is hosting the upcoming BRICS summit which Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to attend.
Wang, during his brief interaction with reporters at the Secretariat yesterday, had asked India to decide its position vis-a-vis the South China sea row.
Asked to comment on whether China was seeking support from India on the South China Sea, Wang said: “It is up to India to decide what position to take.”
