Congress workers block NH in Vijaypur, hold protest

Congress workers and party leaders on Thursday blocked Jammu-Pathankot highway at Vijaypur in protest against central government for its failure to deal with crises erupted after denomination change.

The protest was led by former Minister and JKPCC general secretary, Manjit Singh wherein a large number of Congress workers assembled here in the town and held a protest denomination against the government.

“With change in denomination, poor and farmers have become victim of the Government’s false policy. Only the poor people have been affected badly with the Modi Government’s decision, but no rich or black money holder has come in queue for currency change,” he alleged.

Those who were present in protest Babble Gupta, Retd Col Swaran Singh, Trith Bhagat, Raj Kumar Bhagat, Sarpanch Sham Lal, Bharat Bhushan, Makhan Lal Gupta, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Capt. Tohra, Gurcharan Singh Billa, Naib. Sarpanch Sujjan Singh, Mela Singh, Capt Gurnek Singh, Raghbir Singh and others.
